Andrew Wyath's Dog in graphite this week.

This week our students are learning about shading and subtrative erasing this week using graphite. The lesson is Andrew Wyath's Master Bedroom. Well not exactly a colorful name for what I think is an amzazing piece of artwork. I am very greatful our students are learning from his work. I hope the students are enjoying this lesson as much as I enjoy seeing their version of Mr. Wyath's Master Bedroom.

Mona Lisa in charcoal this week!

This week our students are learning about additive and subtractive drawing using charcoal drawing the Mona Lisa! This is our second lesson for January which is a drawing month. Which makes me think that Miss Mary will be planning a painting month for February. As always I am looking forward to seeing all of our students work. So don't forget to hop onto our Facebook page to see them.

We are back!

Happy New Year to everyone! We hope you enjoyed your holidays. Mary and I had a great time and are all rested up and ready for the new year. Starting off this year January will be a drawing month and beginning this week our students will be using oil pastels and soft pastels to recreate some of Van Gogh's Sunflowers. Stay tuned to see what we are up to each week and don't forget to look at our Facebook page to see all of the students work!

Dragonfly collage..

A little late guys! Sorry about that. Last week we did some very cool drangonflies in collage. We used acrylics, tissue paper, tracing paper and colored pencils. All of our students seemed to have a great time doing them. We thought they turned out great. I will say I wasn't a huge fan of the mess but our two weeks of collage are over for now. So back to the usual amount of messy for the next few weeks!
