The Great Wave by Katsushika Hokusai
This week our students are using tempera paint to learn about Katsushika Hokusai. He was a master printmaker and did this work 1832! It has been and will always be one of our favorites.

This week our students are using acrylic paint to make their own tropical landscapes with waterfalls. Again, another lesson inspired by our recent trip to Costa Rica. Also a farewell to a very warm summer while being aware of the fact that winter is just around the bend.
We will be at Suwanee Fest again this year showing off our student's work. Please come by to see us and vote on your favorite!
Last week our students project was toucans in oil pastels. Mary was inspired to do these wonderful birds because of our trip out to Costa Rica. They came to the house we were staying at every morning for a visit. Truth be told they would peck the glass on our friends bedroom window very early each morning and soon became not so wonderful birds. Their magnificent looks and amazing beaks let them get away with it for the most part.
Mary and I will be out of the country until August 30th. I will not be able to answer any calls or emails until we return. Sorry for any inconvenience. In regards to our classes none of them are full at the moment. If you wish to reserve a spot simply send me an email with your contact info, your child's name, the day and time you are interested in. I will answer the emails in the order I have received them and confirm with you Tuesday August 30th. Thank you, William and Mary.
